MSc American Studies by University of Piraeus and New York University – Admission Process Open for 2024!

And yes, I have just graduated from the joint MSc American Studies: Politics, Strategy and Economics! Now there is a call for applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. I find this news rather exciting, because I’ve always wanted this academic programme to succeed. As a student, I found it quite interesting and enlightening and I want more students to take advantage of what it has to offer.

This programme is interdisciplinary and provides a deep insight into the factors that have made the U.S.A. a great power. In specific, its taught part includes the following modules:

American History: Politics, Culture and Ideology
America’s Democracy and Political System
The American Economy: Commerce, Energy and New Technologies
U.S. Foreign Policy: Alliances, Threats and anti-Americanism
U.S. National Security
Transatlantic Relations
U.S. Policies in the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East
Art, Cinema and Popular Culture in America

A long list of professors with a wide array of research interests and backgrounds are involved, which has a positive impact on the variety of topics they can supervise regarding the research part of the course -by the way, you may want to check out my final thesis here.
